Are there any age restrictions? No everyone is welcome. However, children aged under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18+ and will remain the adults responsibility throughout the walk.

Can we enter a team? Absolutely! You can take part with as many friends & family as you wish. The more the merrier.

How far is it? All mileage is approximate. The full event from Bath to Midsomer Norton is 13.1 miles (a half marathon). The morning section from Bath to Shoscombe is 8.6 miles. The afternoon section from Shoscombe to Prattens (Midsomer Norton is 4.5 miles).

Do I need to train? It does not matter if you are an experienced walker/ runner/ cycle or have never done anything like this before as long as you put in the training. It is designed to be achievable & fun but challenging.

What time will I finish? It really depends on your fitness levels.  Remember it is not a race. Those running it, may take between 1 ½ – 3 hours. Those walking will obviously take longer. Those cycling would obviously take less.

Will my friends and family be able to come and cheer me over the finish line? Everyone is more than welcome to cheer you over the finish line, refreshments will be available at the finish line at Prattens Social Club, Midsomer Norton.

When and where does the walk start? Depending on numbers, there may be a staggered start – we will let you know nearer the time.  We will meet in Costa car park, Lower Bristol Road, BA2 1ES. Walkers will set off slightly earlier, meeting at 8:30am ready to be signed in & listen to our welcome briefing. To set off by 9am (the latest). Runners can start arriving at 9am, to set off in waves if necessary from 9:15am, cyclists should arrive by 9:45am to leave by 9:55am. The afternoon section (4.5 miles) registration will open at 12pm from Shoscombe School, St Julians Road, Shoscombe, BA2 8NB. Aiming to leave by 12:30pm.

How will I get home at the end of the walk? We would suggest that you ask a friend or family member to come and collect you – and of course cheer you over the finishing line at the same time!  If you need advice on train and bus schedules, just give us a call and we’ll help you find all the information you need.

Can I bring my dog? I am afraid that the first part Bath- Wellow is no dogs allowed. However, they are welcome thereafter. Owners are responsible for keeping their dogs under control and clearing up their waste!

What do I need to bring with me? It is strongly advised you bring a drink with you, preferably water to keep you dehydrated, as well as snacks. There will be energy stops along the way, but you can not solely rely on these. Don’t forget your mobile phone, in case of emergencies!

Are there toilets on route? There are toilets located at McDonalds which is approx 50 metres from the start. There are also toilets located at the following: Monksdale Road Park; just off the 2 Tunnels 0.7 miles, 5.6 miles; Wellow Trekking Centre, where there is also a lovely café, 10 miles; Radstock Park, finish at Prattens.

Do I receive a medal? To enable us to keep entry costs to a minimum, unfortunately we can not give out medals. However, if you would like a medal, this will cost an extra £6 & must be ordered before 20th August.
